We are located at 222 Curtis Street, Delaware, Ohio in the rear of the leasing office for the Hidden Ridge Apartments.

The employees of Delaware Metropolitan Housing Authority are dedicated in providing the best possible service to Delaware and surrounding communities. We are excited to provide this website as an additional source of information about DMHA’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and other related services. Our Mission

The mission of the Delaware Metropolitan Housing Authority is to promote adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.

THE WAITING LIST FOR DELAWARE METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY IS CLOSED EFFECTIVE MARCH 15, 2013.  NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED OR PROCESSED RECEIVED AFTER MIDNIGHT MARCH 14, 2013.  THE LINK TO ACCESS AND PRINT AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN DISABLED.  THE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE AT THIS POINT IS A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS FOR RESIDENTS OF DELAWARE AND UNION COUNTIES AND A MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS FOR OUT OF AREA RESIDENTS POSSIBLY LONGER.

The Board of Directors of the Delaware Metropolitan Housing Authority passed an amendment to the Administrative Plan establishing a local preference to assist applicants residing in Delaware and Union Counties first after veterans discharged under honorable conditions effective immediately.  Persons from counties outside our jurisdiction may still apply for assistance at our agency.  To qualify for the “Residency Preference” you must meet at least one of the following conditions:

1.  Be a resident on Delaware or Union County.

2.  Be employed in Delaware or Union County.

3.  Be an active participant in an educational or training program in Delaware or Union County.
